Farmshop Vision

Section Number

Farmshop Vision

Summary
The creation of a truly industry leading farmshop offering. Marrying the best of local products with national and continental specialities. Blending the rural and the urban. Reflecting our heritage as Farmers whilst acknowledging that there will be a greater emphasis on World foods, ‘free from’ and catering for flexitarian diets than at our other sites.

Approach to staffing
Propose to have self serve tills only and to redeploy colleagues into specilaised shop floor roles to actively serve and sell. Increasing the customer/colleague interaction points. Specialists in Butchery, Wine, Coffee, Clothing and Personal Care, Delicatessen.
24hr trading with skeleton teams run between 10pm and 7am, focusing on restocking the ranges for daytime peak trading.

Ambience & Visual Merchandising
Within the open space of the Tatton Build, we need to create an environment that is distinct from the Kitchen, that is calm, encourages people to linger, and is the appropriate setting for aspirational products. Where appropriate, we want to better integrate Lifestyle ranges with food.
The shop entrance must be enticing with craft on display and ranges of fresh produce and flowers drawing customers in. Stimulation of all the senses considered in the layout of the visible offering.
Sight lines and customer flow to be considered priorities in the zoning of the shop space.
Abundance of product key in creating the right atmosphere
