Food Delivery
Introduce concept of food delivery model
Tatton is a unique opportunity, as in contrast to our other MSAs, it sits within a heavily populated area.
Pros & Cons.
How the model affects the design.
Tatton-specific challenges/options =
1) collection from kitchen - food collection not possible from rear of building, due to secure nature of delivery yard and staff parking areas,
2) collection from front of house, having delivery drivers amongst customers,
3) introducing a delivery kitchen to the fuel barn (which already has planning permission for a larger footprint) to operate alongside the drive through, which has the potential to accommodate a number of delivery/collection vehicles in a dedicated area away from main customer areas.
Look at precedents: eg how some macdonalds have completely overhauled their operational layouts to provide dedicated entrances and waiting spaces for delivery drivers, and sacrificed customer floor area and dining areas to do so.
